About the Venue

Permanently built with solid oak frames, movable panoramic windows and wooden flooring, it combines the charm of traditional canvas tipis with the comfort and reliability of a purpose-designed space—crafted to make outdoor events seamless, sustainable, and stress-free.

An open planned dining area, built-in stage, circular bar area, shepherd hut restrooms, cloakroom, dressing room and a large back-of-house area for caterers. Fairy lights, festoons and wagon wheel chandeliers fill the space to create a warm atmosphere throughout the venue. Furniture is all inclusive and fully customisable, this includes large reclaimed dining tables and chairs, comfy bamboo lounge seating, biofuel fire pits and stools, benches and parasols, and deck chairs.

Spring Wedding Showcase
In April we welcomed nearly 200 guests and over 70 couples through our doors to showcase our diverse ceremony spaces, unique all-weather features, and some of our incredible suppliers.

Mapledurham Estate History
Tipis at Mapledurham is set within the breathtaking Mapledurham Estate. Couples have exclusive access to the 2,000 acre Elizabethan estate, with 360 views of Mapledurham House, Oxfordshire countryside, and the Thames Valley.
The estate is also home to the oldest working Watermill on the River Thames which is famous for being featured on Black Sabbath's debut album cover and is said to be the birth of the novel Wind in the Willows. One of the most popular experiences for our couples is arriving at the venue by boat—whether as a newlywed entrance, with the wedding party, or as a relaxed pre-wedding cruise.
