Directions:
Follow Mapledurham Road into the village. Look for the sign for “Tipis at Mapledurham”, which will direct you to turn left.
Do not continue right into the village, if you arrive at the church you have gone too far, please turn around.
300m down the farm road you’ll see the parking field on the right.
Please drive through the field and park on the far side (shown in yellow) to ensure you do not obstruct the view. Minibuses and Taxis can drop-off and pick-here. Enter the venue over the footbridge.
Arrive By Train
The venue is a 15-25 minute taxi (depending on traffic) from Reading Station. You can arrive into Reading Station from the following routes:
GWR - London (Paddington) / the west.
South West Trains - London (Waterloo) Basingstoke.
Cross Country Trains - Bournemouth to Midlands and beyond.
Elizabeth Line - Transport for London.
Trains from London Paddington to Reading take approximately 25 minutes and run every 5-10 minutes all the way until 2am. As the venue closes at 11.30, this gives you lots of flexibility for getting home via train, please pre-book your taxi to the station.
Ask the couple if shuttle buses are being run from Reading station to Tipis at Mapledurham, or organise a group taxi using the numbers below.

Arrival times are set by the couple/host, please refer to your invitation or any other event correspondence.

Parking is available in the field adjacent to the venue (see map in ‘Find us’). Any vehicles left overnight are at your own risk, Tipis at Mapledurham accepts no liability for theft or damage.

You can collect your car the following day from 09.00 - 11.00. The gate will be locked overnight 24.00 - 09.00 and then again from 11.00.

We welcome you to take photos and videos at the venue and tag @tipisatmapledurham on Facebook/Instagram. Please listen to your couples request regarding photography. Drone use by guests is not permitted.

Lost property should be reported to event staff on the day or to the event host the day after the event so they can collect them for you. Items not claimed will be retained for a limited period after the event.

Dress codes are determined by the event hosts, please bear in mind the event may take place partially outdoors. We have a cloakroom within the tipis for you to store coats etc.

Yes, the venue has luxury shepherd hut restrooms divided into women’s, men’s, accessible & inclusive.

No, alcohol licensing regulations apply, and only alcohol supplied by authorised providers may be consumed on site.

Smoking and vaping are permitted but only in front of the tipis. Please dispose of cigarettes in the ash trays provided. Do not put cigarettes out on the grass, this is a fire hazard. Please take vapes home with you to be recycled responsibly.

During the event, please keep within the venue boundaries and do not wander beyond the ‘private’ signs. Mapledurham Estate is a privately owned National Heritage Site. You’re welcome to explore the public footpaths at the estate another time.
